Sachet Tutorial

I made a few sachets to perfume the air.
All you need to make a sachet is….
1) leftover or scrap fabric
2) Cut two pieces of fabric in the shape that
you want (a bag shape may be easiest because it allows you to change the fragrance when needed.)
3) Sew your sachet leaving an opening big enough, turn the sachet right side out, and instert your potpourri
**Potpourri can be one of the following:
a) dried herbs (lavender, rosemary, mint, etc)
b) essential oil sprinkled onto cotton balls or cotton pads
c) or store bought potpourri
4) After inserting your fragrance stitch up the whole you left open
*** If making a bag, leave the top of the bag unstitched and simply tie it closed
with a piece of thread. When the smell has gone, simply untie the bag and refill it with fragrance.
5) Finally put the sachet where ever you wish.
(in the bedroom, in a sock drawer, in the wardrobe, in the livingroom on a table, in the kitchen, where ever fragrance is needed)
******* Sachets may also be crocheted or knitted. The possibilities are endless.
